I wanted to lose weight fast and joined a gym as part of my regime but when my work load left me with too little time I discovered routines I could do easily in the vicinity of my home. I aimed to complete two 12 minute workouts each day for 5 days a week; this worked a treat for me. This will also work for you just follow the program to discover how you can lose belly fat fast.

Before you begin drink a little water then warm up with some light jogging or a minute of small step ups.

  • Running Run for 5 minutes only but put loads of effort into it. You must push yourself with this aerobic exercise to get your heart and lungs to work harder. You can alternate days with cycling and swimming. Make a note of how far you ran the first time out that is your initial target which you must aim to improve on each time.

  • Squat thrusts Back at the house quickly get on with the next exercise. With hands on the floor stretch your legs back as far as possible then pull your feet as high up under your body as possible and as quickly as you can, repeat as many time as possible, again make a note of how many reps you did.

  • Press Ups Yes good old fashioned press ups but do them at speed. As you build up your strength on every third press up push yourself completely off the floor and clap your hands. This is not easy but when you can do 6 claps you have really made progress.

  • Stair Runs Quickly go to the foot of the stairs and run up and down 4 times, come on push yourself.

  • Star Jumps You are probably beginning to feel tired but one last push with this exercise. Squat with your hands just touching the floor then spring off the floor extending arms and legs in a star formation as many times as possible.

Warm down with some light jogging and slowly take some water on board.

If you have really worked hard you will definitely feel the burn, well done but keep monitoring your progress and look to improve your personal best as often as possible.

My advice for those who are really out of condition, do not despair if this routine takes you even 25 minutes, I promise you that if you put in one session every other day your times will quickly improve and you will quickly manage two sessions a day 5 times a week with ease. And you will do it in 12 minutes.

This can be hard work but for your reward you will lose belly fat fast, so do not throw away all your gains by eating junk food, processed foods or by drinking too much alcohol.
