Tomatoes For Weight Loss? Let's Weigh In!

One of the world's most versatile fruits (soups, salads, sandwiches, ketchup, pasta sauce, juice, pizza sauce, and more) is also one of the healthiest. Tomatoes are full of antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, and are very low in calories. Sweet, juicy, and extremely healthy, tomatoes can be eaten with just about every meal!



Of course, this article discusses the specific ability of tomatoes to help you lose weight.

We all know that fresh fruits and vegetables are great to eat. If you were to eat nothing but these types of foods you would lose weight so fast it would make your head spin. But that's hardly realistic for most of us. So what's the answer?

Obviously, we want to eat as much healthy produce as possible. And the versatility of tomatoes should have them ranking quite highly on your list. Personally, for breakfast I like a nice egg white omelette with low fat mozzarella, mushrooms, and frozen spinach. On the side, I'll slice up a whole tomato and a whole avocado. So delicious and great for losing weight fast!

A great idea for lunch is a veggie sandwich on lightly toasted whole grain bread. I like to spread avocado on each slice of bread and then build my sandwich with big, fat tomato slices, sprouts, cucumber slices, red bell pepper, and green leaf lettuce. A side of baked chips on the side, and this is quite the sinful indulgence... minus the sin!

For dinner, try a great whole wheat pasta (ideally... however, "regular" pasta is okay) tossed in olive oil with cracked black pepper, fresh garlic and basil, raw zucchini (diced), scallions, grilled shrimp, and of course... fresh diced tomatoes!
