Most body builders will readily admit that achieving their goal successfully was a long, hard process. They trained for years to get where they are today. There are things you can do to lessen the time it takes to reach your personal ideal. Just remember the following things.
Eat regular, well balanced meals. Ensure you consume enough calories each day to give your body enough of the right kind of nutrients to support the muscle growth you are trying to achieve. Men need to consume between 3,000 and 5,000 calories daily. Women need to consume 2,000 to 3,000 calories daily. That's the only way to accomplish this.
Schedule your workouts every other day. The day of rest gives your body sufficient time to respond by allowing the time to heal any damage that may have been done by the previous days' workout while allowing time for muscle growth.
Exercise as long and hard as you can at each workout. You need about thirty minutes each time you hit the gym. The muscle will grow faster when your body gets the signal that more muscle is necessary to support what you are requiring of it.
Increase the amount of weight you work with slowly but as often as your body allows. The more you demand from your body, the harder it will work to meet that demand. Include other types of exercise in your workouts to make sure every muscle benefits to ensure optimum fitness. Exercises that cause you to lift your own body weight and cardiovascular exercises will provide the variety you need for success.
