Is the Ice Cream Diet a Worthwhile Quick Weight Loss Diet?

This diet, the Ice Cream Diet, is a strategy that says you can shed the weight without giving up something like ice cream every day. Imagine that. This is a little hard to believe, as we've all been taught that desserts are fattening and will make us gain weight. We saw this and wanted to get down to find out if this diet is a cruel joke, or if it's something that's real.

It is almost contradictory; the Ice Cream Diet claiming you will be able to eat the great stuff you like and yet still experience weight loss. This diet is no different from others, similar in nature, that require you to keep a close eye on the calories you eat each day.

You will need to monitor your calories during the day, sure, but you'll also have the ability to eat ice cream every day, too. So, ok, it looks reasonable because you'll be expected to include regular work-outs, as well. This can be helpful for many people, as it allows you to have a treat every day. People have a tough time being a Spartan and eating like one; meaning to only eat foods that they're taste buds yawn at. People are different - some can get by fine on the Spartan approach, and others need a little more support; and that is the appeal and approach with this diet.

They take advantage of human nature and psychology in this diet. Here's the thing - when we don't allow ourselves to have something, there's a tendency to desire it even more. It's natural for anyone to feel deprived of good foods when they diet, and it happens in most people. We may lose weight at first, but in the long run we are likely to return to the foods we've been missing. Just being able to eat a little sweets each day has a tremendous effect on the person's mind and feelings. This way we are not depriving ourselves and are less inclined to abandon the diet and binge.

As you may already have figured out, it doesn't matter if you include ice cream in this diet or not. You'll discover that women are limited to 1500 cals per day, and men limited to 2000 cals per day. Then you will combine that with exercise on a regular basis. The small portion of dessert you are permitted must fit into this regime. So when you think about it; when you do the exercise and restrict your calories like that; then it really doesn't matter about the ice cream, or chocolate, etc. It's just a marketing approach to mention, and include, ice cream in this diet.

It's not a push-button diet, there isn't any, and the Ice Cream Diet can work for you if you follow it and take action each day. Don't sell yourself out by eating more ice cream than is recommended or suggested by the diet. The attraction of this diet is the daily ice cream breaks things up, gives you a little something each day, and you won't feel like you're in boot camp, or wherever.
