Juice Diet - Get Healthy and Lose Weight in 3 Days

The diet is very simple. For three days, you confine yourself to drinking fruit and vegetable juices right throughout the day. It's a limited form of fasting.

Here's a big tip: if you enjoy this form of fasting, you can "diet" in this way once every two weeks. Eat normally on the other days, and try to limit the amount of processed foods, and fast foods you eat. That's the big benefit of the Juice Diet: it teaches you to eat healthily, and enjoy it.

Here's how to get started.

1. Buy a Juicer

Your first step is to buy a juicer. These machines are relatively inexpensive, and they're an investment in your good health.

2. Find Yummy Juice Recipes

Next, find some juice recipes. There are many recipes online, and you can easily create your own.

That's what I do -- I buy whichever vegetables are in season (they're cheap, and they're packed with nutrients because they haven't been cold-stored), and make my own juice recipes. I juice in-season vegetables with either apples, or oranges, or both.

Here's my favorite basic juice recipe. It makes two large glasses of pure goodness:

2 apples
2 oranges
2 carrots
1 cucumber

(Optional) A small handful of fresh herbs: mint, parsley, or basil

Juice everything, and stir. Drink one glass immediately, and refrigerate the rest.

3. Get Started: Choose a Work Day

You've got your juicer, a supply of vegetables and fruit, and your recipes, so now you're ready to start. Tip: start on a weekday. Work provides distraction for you, and since the Juice Diet gives you energy, you'll find that you're very productive.
