Fat Loss Success Strategies - Can You Build Muscle, Lose Fat and Get Fantastic Abs at the Same Time?

A lot of people think that they cannot lose weight and build significant muscle at the same time. To be honest this isn't based on scientific evidence.....it's usually based on things they've read or heard from other people. Or, they "know it for a fact" because they've tried to do it themselves and it hasn't worked for them.

build muscle lose fat
If this has happened to you then I'm not surprised if this is what you think as well. After all if you've not been able to effectively lose weight and build up your muscle development at the same time then it makes sense that you'd think that the two didn't go together at all. But is this necessarily always the case? Can you build muscle, lose fat and get fantastic abs at the same time?

If you're like a lot of people you probably picked a diet and then signed up at a gym. You probably decided to use an abs machine/program to try and build up your belly muscles at the same time as you shed some pounds on your diet. What's likely to have happened though is that you dropped some pounds to start with and you started to see some definition in your abs. Not a lot, but a little improvement which is still great.

But, great results to start with don't guarantee great results forever. Most short term diets are not designed to have long term results. They deliver fast weight loss for the first few weeks you're on them but then, when your body has burned all it can burn that way, you stand still and lose no more weight.

And, the chances are you will reach an abs plateau at around the same time. So, your initial success here will virtually be eliminated when you hit that particular plateau. Sure, you don't have to put the weight back on or see your abs development slide back to where it was (although most people will as they'll give up at this stage) but you can't continue to improve from this point.

So, what would help here? To be honest, if you want to build muscle, lose fat and get great abs then you need to take a multi-dimensional approach. Of course a healthy diet will help you here but it's probably your current fitness program that is holding you back. Get a multi-dimensional program that regularly changes the demands that you put on your body and you'll simply boost your metabolism to work harder. As soon as it does that.....you'll start to build muscle, lose fat and tone up your belly!
