A vast majority of people want to know how to burn fat faster,
but the idea of spending countless hours in the gym seems
time-consuming. Many people can get confused into believing that when
performing both cardio and weight training exercises at the same time
they are going to see better results.
Nearly all women and most men struggle to lose belly fat as it can depend on each individuals genetic traits, ie muscle belly length, testosterone levels and muscle fiber makeup.
This is not always the case. Here are a few ways that can shorten the amount of time spent in the gym yet increase your fat burning process.
Weight Training Exercises - Supersets
Firstly you can superset your weight training exercises together which will help you burn fat faster. What happens here is that whilst working one muscle group, the other muscle group is resting.
As an example, if you were performing tricep curls you would follow up with a bicep curl thereafter. Or, if you are doing hamstrings then you would move onto leg extensions.
These methods are very effective and the results would be much faster.
Cardio Intervals
During your workout you can also add cardio intervals as this can really boost your fat loss efforts. Care must be taken here as it does not affect your ability to use heavier weights, however for upper body exercises you may want to do cardio exercises in-between each set of your weight routine.
Reduce Rest Periods.
By shortening your rest periods you are still burning fat but at a much faster rate as, obviously, the recovery rate is reduced. Less time resting will cause the fat burning process to increase, therefore more calories will be lost.
In order to boost your metabolism reducing rest time is the way to go. However if the rest time is reduced too much you will not be able to maintain heavy weights causing a loss in muscle mass.
Therefore, it is important that the rest times are not too short as you need to be able to lift the same weight throughout each exercise.
Do not forget to keep these points in mind. Limiting the amount of workout time does not mean you will still be unable to lose excess fat As long as a regular exercise routine is kept in order there is absolutely no reason why you cannot burn fat faster.
