Now that the holidays are over, you are probably finding out that you splurged a bit too much on the food and drinks. While it was a lot of fun, getting back on the scale in 2016 is probably not your favorite activity. Are you ready to start losing weight again and feeling your very best? 1. Eat Healthy Foods
Eating a healthy diet is the first thing you should do in order to lose weight. All the unhealthy foods that you have been placing into your body are making you sick and making it impossible to lose weight. Aim for healthy and lean meats, as many fruits and vegetables as you can fit into the diet, lean and low fat dairy, and complex carbohydrates to get the most out of your healthy diet.



2. Get on a good exercise program
You can't hope to lose weight without a good exercise program. It is best to get at least 30 minutes for 5 days a week, but working out a bit each day can give you better results and makes it less likely that you will go off the program. If you haven't worked out in a while, consider starting out slow and building up. There are many different exercises that you can do including walking, swimming, running, biking, dancing, weight lifting, and much more. Mix and match to get the best results.

3. Cut out the Pop and Soda
Even the diet sodas can be bad for your waistline. If you would like to lose weight, you need to cut these out, or at least limit them to once a week at most. This will cut out a lot of the sugars, and if you drink regular soda, a lot of the calories as well. Try some flavored water or tea as a treat while getting more nutrients in and still getting a bit of tasty flavoring.

4. Find a Support Group
Losing weight on your own can be hard. You don't have anyone to push you along, to encourage you to lose those few extra pounds, or to make sure you get to the gym. Find a friend, someone in your family, or even a local support group in your community to help you drop the weight even faster since you are being held accountable.

5. Try Out a Supplement
There are a lot of great supplements that can help you to lose weight. Find one that has more natural ingredients rather than ones that just rely on caffeine. When you just rely on caffeine, you are going to become jittery and this is not the healthiest way for you to lose weight. But there are many supplements that can help you to lose weight in a healthier way by speeding up your metabolism and encouraging energy to keep moving.

6. Occasional Splurge
If you are good at staying on your diet and eating healthy on most days, it is fine to splurge on occasion. This allows you to get something sweet or bad for the diet without feeling guilty. Keep the splurge down to lose weight, but a little candy bar or a small soda once a week will not throw your weight loss off too much.
