The workout is simple and short and ramps up your metabolism big-time! It's a high intensity interval training (hiit) workout.

What you do is find a treadmill, stairstepper, or elliptical machine (works best on a stairstepper). Now, you simply use the manual buttons on the stairstepper to vary how hard it is (the intensity).

Set the machine for 6 minutes or so and do high intensity for 10-15 seconds followed by slow intensity for 20-30 seconds. Keep repeating that sequence. Each high intensity burst is followed by a slow intensity burst.

The reason why this is so great for quick weight loss is because your metabolism kicks into over-drive and will burn calories at a higher rate for 18 or more hours AFTER the workout.

With most exercising and workouts, once you finish the workout, you are finished burning calories at a higher rate. Not so with this type of high intensity intervals.
