If it is at all possible, make your own meals. Avoid the drive through and carry out. Sure no one's perfect, I know there are going to be those times when it's late our your tired and just don't feel like cooking. In case like this I would maybe try to make a healthy sandwich on wheat, it does not take a lot of time or effort.

And this is a big one avoid added sugar. This is the fastest and simplest way to drop weight. Soda, baked goods, candy, and fruit drinks should go. They are empty calories loaded with fat and sugar.
Now once you begin to lose fat you are going to want to begin to add muscle.

1) Treadmill, bike, jumping rope, running, walking- choose just one.

4) Pushups or chin-ups - 12 reps

5) Squat thrust or lunges.
