Losing weight by actually eating, sounds too good to be true right? Well it isn't, there are several so called super foods that you can eat that help quick weight loss and three of those foods are highlighted here.

1. Lean meats: 

Lean chicken meat is one of the best foods for weight loss. It contains a high level of protein and an extremely small amount of fat. Foods with high protein levels are excellent at helping to build lean muscle; which in turn helps to burn fat by increasing the metabolic rate, chicken breast would be the leanest part of the chicken and remember, no skin!



An alternative to chicken would be turkey breast meat. It's a little less tasty but quite a bit cheaper. Just remember, no more red meat just lean meat from now on!

Another excellent food which benefits quick weight loss is fish. Oily fish like salmon and tuna that contain Omega-3 fatty acids are excellent at breaking down leptin which is a hormone that stores fat inside your body, so anything that can stop the production of leptin will have an immediate effect on weight.

2. Olive oil:

Replacing you regular oil with olive oil will not only suppress your appetite but you will lower your cholesterol levels, this is because olive oil contains high levels of unsaturated fats that are natural appetite suppressants and your cholesterol levels come down because olive oil is almost completely free from saturated fats; a major factor in high cholesterol levels.

3. Berries: 

All berries; blackberries, blueberries, strawberries etc will help with weight loss, strawberries in particular are extremely good as they are an appetite suppressant that not only taste good but is full of anti oxidants as are many of it's berry cousins. Strawberries are particularly good at getting rid of hunger pangs.

Losing weight doesn't mean you have to starve yourself as this small selection of super foods show, too many people think that in order to perpetuate quick weight lose crash diets are required but that is absolute nonsense.

Eating specific types of food will actually require your body to burn greater amounts of calories than are being consumed, these are called negative calorie foods and you would be amazed at how many of these foods there are.
